Giuliana Rancic is nothing if not a pro.

On Monday, the E! News hostess and reality star, 37, announced her decision to undergo a double mastectomy live on the "Today" show after failed treatments for breast cancer. After explaining her decision (with husband Bill Rancic) in a mature, clearheaded way, Rancic didn't call in sick for work.

Later that night, she was back on the job, chatting up Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and other celebs on the red carpet for the NYC premiere of "In the Land of Blood and Honey," Jolie's debut as a director and screenwriter.

According to an onlooker, the radiant Rancic looked "happy and upbeat" chatting with the stars and fans.
