Fire in basement of Macy's flagship store in NYC

New York City fire officials say a blaze has broken out in the basement of Macy's flagship store in Manhattan.

There are no reports of injuries at the store in Herald Square. An FDNY spokesman says about 60 firefighters are responding to the blaze. It was called in about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

It was not immediately clear how extensive the fire was or how it was started.

The iconic Macy's has over 1 million square feet of retail space.
