French writer files lawsuit alleging DSK tried to rape her

A French writer reportedly plans to file a lawsuit Tuesday against Dominique Strauss-Kahn for allegedly trying to rape her in 2003.

Tristane Banon, 32, is accusing the former International Monetary Fund chief of trying to sexually assault her during an interview with him in a Paris apartment.

“I can no longer hear that I am a liar because I haven’t made a legal complaint,” Banon told French magazine L’Express on its website Tuesday.

But attorneys for Strauss-Kahn, 62, shot down the accusation, which had been circulating even before the philandering Frenchman was arrested in May for allegedly sexually assaulting a maid in the Sofitel Hotel in midtown.

His Paris attorneys in a statement called Banon’s version of events “imaginary,” and are threatening to sue her for slander.

Other developments in the Strauss-Kahn case:

• The 32-year-old hotel maid had lied on her political asylum paperwork and about being gang raped in her native Guinea, casting doubt on her credibility. Her story about what happened after the alleged attack at the Sofitel hotel also changed.

• Police sources say the woman had connections with criminals, including drug dealers and money launderers.

• Sources told The Post she also worked as a prostitute and was part of a pyramid scheme ripping off Guinean immigrants. Her attorney has denied some of the claims.
