The one-time “Saturday Night Live” cast member will forever get our support because of his television series “Action.” Go watch it if you can and pray that tickets for this show are still available.

Borowitz, who edited the Library of America collection “The Fifty Funniest American Writers,” brings along “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin, humorist Calvin Trillin and others to discuss some of the wittiest literary works.

Gilbert Gottfried with Judy Gold

Master squinter Gottfried chats with Gold about all sorts of topics, from current events to sex. And he’ll do it with a shrill voice.

Wanda Sykes

If all Sykes had done in her career was guest-star on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” this would be a can’t-miss show. The fact that she’s a top stand-up and one of the funniest folks around is just a bonus.

The creator and star of “Louie,” one of the smartest shows on television, Louis C.K. is a New York institution. We love the show and can’t recommend his stand-up enough.

Tracy Morgan
Beacon Theatre, Nov. 11, $39-$67
You never know what to expect when you check out the stand-up show from “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan. Hopefully, he’ll be able to steer clear from controversy when he performs at the Beacon Theatre.
