Gabby Douglas responds to hair critics

Gabby Douglas, teen gymnast extraordinaire, has found herself in a hairy situation right in the middle of the Olympics.

Douglas, 16, America's new darling after winning two gold medals in gymnastics, is getting flak for what critics say is her unkempt hairstyle, sparking a vain debate in the midst of Olympic history.

"They have no idea what they're talking about," Douglas told Us Weekly. "You sweat and all the gel and hair spray comes out. "Even if we did fix our hair, our coach would be like, 'This is not a beauty pageant! Leave it alone.'"

Despite scoring two golds at the Olympics, all tweets stay focused on her hairdo.
