A section of the Port Authority Bus Terminal closed for nearly one hour Wednesday morning due to a natural gas odor, according to reports.
Around 8:15 a.m., the south wing of the terminal was evacuated because the odor was detected, according to The Associated Press.
Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman said the terminal was "declared safe and reopened around 9 a.m."
Buses stopped along 10th Avenue instead of inside the terminal while it was closed.
