George W. Bush basked in warm praise — and some ribbing — during a ceremony dedicating his library Thursday.

President Bill Clinton teased Bush about the paintings that Bush, a novice artist, has produced in recent years, including self-portraits in the shower and the bathtub.

Clinton said he considered asking Bush to do a similar painting of him, but thought better of it.

“Those bathroom sketches are great, but at my age I think I should keep my suit,” he said to laughter.

Presidents Clinton, Obama, Carter and George H.W. Bush came together on the campus of Southern Methodist University to honor the 43rd president.

Bush had historically low popularity ratings — about 33% — when he left office.

Despite some rumblings that Bush’s brother Jeb, the ex-governor of Florida, is considering a 2016 presidential run, his mother indicated she’d like the political dynasty to end with George W.

“There are other people out there that are very qualified, and we’ve had enough Bushes,” Barbara Bush said in a “Today” show interview.
