All of the trouble started in Dallas. That's where the Giants lost their season opener to the Cowboys, 36-31. After that, the Giants (4-6) lost five more in a row, followed by their current four-game winning streak. A win Sunday at MetLife Stadium against those same Cowboys (5-5) would move them into a tie for second place in the NFC East with Dallas. Here are three things that must go differently than they did in the first matchup two months ago.

Establish the run

The Giants gained just 50 yards on the ground at Cowboys Stadium. It didn't help that David Wilson lost two fumbles and coach Tom Coughlin was forced to turn to Da'Rel Scott, who is no longer with the team. The big difference this weekend is the presence of Andre Brown, who began the season on injured reserve and already is the team's leading rusher after two appearances in 2013.

Eli in control

Eli Manning completed 27 of 42 passes for 450 yards and four touchdowns in Week 1, but he also was picked off three times. He has thrown just two during the team’s winning streak. Keeping his errant throws to a minimum will be key against one of the most opportunistic pass defenses in the NFL.

No room for Romo

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo completed 73.5% of his passes against the Giants back on Sept. 8. That can’t happen again, especially if he matches the 49 pass attempts from that game.
