The Giants' nail-biting win against the Bills Sunday gave Big Blue plenty to brag about -- and left fans hopeful for a team on the upswing.

The Giants’ 27-24 victory, which included a career-high three touchdowns by running back Ahmad Bradshaw, was their first triumph this season over a team with a winning record.

The G-Men also scored their first-ever win against Buffalo on their home turf at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Their last home win against the Bills was way back in 1970, when they played at Yankee Stadium.

With a 4-2 record, the Giants have now bounced to first place in the NFC’s East Division, ahead of the Washington Redskins.

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said the message for yesterday’s game was about “positive energy.”

“It was about bouncing back, obviously,” Coughlin said. “It was about fighting and a 60-minute battle, and not five or 10 [minutes] or whatever.”

The Giants drove 76 yards in nine plays, took advantage of two pass-interference penalties on Bills cornerback Drayton Florence, and got to within a yard of the end zone before kicking the go-ahead field goal -- a 23-yarder by Lawrence Tynes with just 1:35 remaining.

Bradshaw scored his third touchdown of the game in the third quarter, when he went up and over the Bills’ goal-line defense. It was also his third 1-yard score of the day, and it gave the Giants a 24-17 lead.

“Everything happens for a reason, and I think we are here on this team together for a reason,” Bradshaw said.

The Giants are now headed into their bye week, giving their injured players time to rest up. They’ll next face the winless Miami Dolphins on Oct. 30.
