Gifts for men, eggnog among the top Yahoo searches this holiday

Yahoo Monday released its top searches for the holiday season, and, predictably, users want to know what to buy loved ones for Christmas.

Specifically, people are having trouble finding presents for guys, as the top gift search in the last 30 days on Yahoo was “gifts for men,” with 71% of those searches by women.

One popular search term was “gifts for men who have everything.” Spiking closely behind presents for men was “gifts for teenage boys.”

“It was funny to see that ‘gifts for men’ was well over gift searching for any other group,” Yahoo web trends expert Lauren Whitehouse said. “So obviously that's where people are really having trouble.”

Whitehouse said closer to Christmas, searches for Santa Tracker 2013 will soar, along with those from people who are curious about how to cook Christmas breakfasts and dinners.
