"Trash-talking cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester is coming to New York - as one of Broadway's most notorious villains.
Jane Lynch, who plays Sylvester on "Glee," will make her Broadway debut as the evil orphan matron Miss Hannigan in "Annie."
"Some may say I know a thing or two about playing intimidating authority figures," Lynch said in a statement. "So I am excited and honored to be making my Broadway debut with the wonderful 'Annie' company at the Palace Theatre."
Lynch will join the cast for eight weeks beginning May 16 while the current Miss Hannigan, Kate Finneran, films a TV show.
