Finding ski-resort deals
This time of year, walk-up lift tickets can easily top $70 a day at some ski resorts, so it's well worth searching for discounts:
• Check resort websites for deals, including early-bird ticket/hotel discounts.
• Ski midweek when lifts and hotels can cost less.
• Buy the cheaper half-day ticket available at some resorts and ski without breaks.
• Search online for special discounts. Washington's Crystal Mountain, for example, offers military discounts, including half-price tickets some days, and airline employees with valid identification get $7 off on Tuesdays. (Mct)

Deals begin today for Expedia's ASAP (A Sudden Amazing Price) deals at both Westgate Myrtle Beach Resort (Myrtle Beach) and Circus Circus (Las Vegas). The deals offer travelers 50% off their stay. Travel end date for Myrtle Beach is Feb. 13 and Feb. 29 for Las Vegas.
