The Village's annual Halloween parade is alive and ready to haunt the streets.

The Kickstarter campaign to save the 30-year-old celebration met its $50,000 fundraising goal with three days to spare, organizers announced Thursday.

Organizers said the event was in danger of being nixed because of the financial hardships they had to bear from last year's cancellation due to Superstorm Sandy. Several sponsors lost money last year because of the sudden change.

A spokeswoman for the parade, which will be held Oct. 31, didn't return messages for comment.

As of Thursday night, 847 backers had pledged money to save the popular parade.

The big-spending pledgers received special prizes, including a ride on a float during the festivities.
