The state health department said Wednesday that it’s cutting ties with former state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr.’s Bronx health clinic, Soundview Health Network, which participates in the state Medicaid program.

The state will pull its support Sept. 12, according to a health department letter to Soundview’s board.

Espada is awaiting trial on charges that he allegedly misappropriated funds from Soundview to furnish a lavish lifestyle, including a luxury car and vacations.
