More than 300 restaurants are taking part in Restaurant Week, an annual promotion that this year was extended to three weeks, through Feb. 8. With so many spots to choose from, and all at the same great price ($25 per person for a three-course prix-fixe lunch and $38 for a three-course prix-fixe dinner), we thought you might want a bit of help. Here's our wish list:

1. Barbetta, 321 W. 46th St., 212-246-9171
Open since 1906, this is classic New York dining through and through. We really want to try the Mousse of Orange Bittersweet Chocolate, which is on both the lunch and dinner menus.

2. Butter, 415 Lafayette St., 212-253-2828
TV personality and chef Alex Guarnaschelli heads up the kitchen at Butter. If you've seen her on "Chopped," you'll know she's a tough critic. Now it's your turn to cast judgment. (Dinner only.)

3. Empellón Taqueria, 230 W. 4th St., 212-367-0999
Mexican food is great. Dressed-up Mexican food is another thing altogether, and Empellón is doing it right with tacos like lamb barbacoa with cucumber and salsa borracha. (Lunch only.)
