Here's where we'd place some of today's top comics within the music industry

It’s unlikely that Steve Martin will appear with an arrow through his head when he takes the stage at Town Hall Tuesday night. He will not cheer the appearance of the phone book or profess his wild-and-craziness. Instead, the actor/author/playwright/Twitterer is in town with what might be his first love (or, at least, his tied-for-first love): the banjo.
If the funnyman can make the leap to bluegrass music (and win a Grammy for it, no less!), then what other comedians should grab a guitar, sit behind a keyboard or pick up drumsticks? Here’s where we’d place some of today’s top comics within the music industry:
