I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream -- but our giddy shrieks are especially noteworthy because it's National Ice Cream Month!

These frozen goodies should all be devoured to commemorate our favorite foodie holiday. The unique, mouth-watering sweets are sold throughout the city and are an easy and eatable way to beat the heat.

So get one (or all) before these creations melt and July ends!

Offering 8 flavors of ice cream (including Moosetracks) and 8 toppings (such as Snickers and cookie dough) this cookie counter is a favorite. And don't miss their customizable cookiewiches or deluxe cookiewiches -- like a S'mores Deluxe cookie a la mode.

PRICE: $3 (small cup) - $6.50 (deluxe cookiewich)

Clarke's Standard Little Clarke's

977 Eighth Ave., clarkes-standard.com

In vintage to-go Dixie cups of yesteryear, flavors like mint chip and vanilla bean are standard, but similar to the throw-back malted milk chocolate variety, all are custom-created. Great for grabbing on the go.

PRICE: $2.95 per cup

MAGNUM

Bryant Park, West 40th Street and Sixth Avenue, magnumicecream.com

Double caramel is one of the nine bar flavors available, among toppings like Goji berries, at the Bryant Park pop- up. For more choices: MAGNUM bars, along with Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake and Klondike Choco Tacos, are free of charge via the Good Humor Truck, which will be at the Eighth Avenue Festival (between 14th and 23rd streets on July 20) and every Monday in Bryant Park for HBO's Summer Film Festival, through August 26.

PRICE: $3 (regular bars), $5 (Make My MAGNUM bars), Good Humor Truck goodies: free

FP Patisserie

1293 Third Ave., fppatisserie.com

Mango and pistachio may be the most popular ice cream flavors at this bakery, but cheesecake crumble is one that isn't often found elsewhere. The real treat? Homemade macaron ice cream sandwiches, sold in four flavors: chocolate-chocolate sorbet, coconut-mango, strawberry cheesecake and raspberry-pistachio. French, fruity and fun.

PRICE: $3 (one scoop)-$5 (ice cream sandwich) - $7 (three scoops)

Mr. Green Tea Ice Cream Co.

Sushi Yasuda, 204 E. 43rd St., mrgreenteaicecream.com

Don't let the "Green Tea" name fool you -- the company has other flavors too, like Chai Latte, Red Bean and Ginger. Within the past two years, they've been made available at grocery stores. Before that -- for five decades -- fans could only get them in restaurants, like the thousands of venues in New York City selling them scoop by scoop.

Price: Starts at $4.99 per pint

Vosges Haut-Chocolat

132 Spring St., vosgeschocolate.com

Only two flavors are served per day, but the shop rotates between Pandan (pandan leaf and dark chocolate), Red Fire (sweet cacao, fruity and acidic with spice) and Naga (toasted milk, sweet Indian curry and nutty coconut) soft serve. Top it with shavings from any of the boutique's exotic chocolate bars, cookie crumbles or blended macadamia nuts for a elaborate eat.

PRICE: $4 (to-go cups) - $5 (waffle cones)

Sweetery NYC

@sweeterynyc for daily locations

What's better than going to get ice cream? Having it come to you. Although it's not quite delivery, the most sugary automobile on the city's streets serves 4-6 cookie/ice cream combos (like strawberry ice cream with snickerdoodle cookie) and toppings including Cap'n Crunch. For those looking to really celebrate National Ice Cream Month, the tasty treats truck caters for all occasions.
