Jason Segel has temporarily left the big screen behind for the world of children’s books. The 33-year-old’s “Nightmares” trilogy has been picked up by Random House for a 2014 release, the company said Wednesday.

The series is about a bunch of kids who try to save their town from “nightmare creatures.”

“Ultimately, it’s a story about learning that we can accomplish anything,” said Segel in a press release.
