Jennie Garth is opening up about moving on from her "excruciating" breakup with husband Peter Facinelli last year.

"When I'm in excruciating pain, like with what I've been through with my breakup and that grief and loss that's just immobilizing, it helps to remember that it only lasts for 13 to 15 minutes, max. And then it's over," the actress said in the January issue of Health magazine. "Your mind is ready to go to something else. You might come back to it, but it helps to just know that that pain is not going to last forever."

Now, the "90210" star - who was married to hunky "Twilight" star Facinelli for 11 years and has three children with him - is "learning to date again" by meeting men who aren't necessarily as hunky as her ex-beau.

"Looks aren't important to me anymore," she said. "I like positive energy."
