Jessica Simpson to launch maternity line

Whattadya know: Just weeks after giving birth to baby Maxwell Drew with fiance Eric Johnson, fashion mogul Jessica Simpson is embarking on a new endeavor, which happens to be - you guessed it - a line of maternity apparel.

It was announced Monday that Simpson's collection of "easy, everyday pieces for the modern mom-to-be who wants to maintain her fashion edge throughout her pregnancy" will be available this fall at Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and Macy's through an exclusive licensing agreement between Camuto Group,

According to a news release, the line will have a "vintage '70s feel" and will feature denim, leggings, print tops, flowing maxis and form-fitting jersey knit dresses, as well as jackets, blazers and knits.

And, despite the fact that it'll be making mama Simpson a gazillion times richer, prices for the maternity collection start at a mass market-friendly $36.

This marks the 24th category of fashion products in the Jessica Simpson Collection, a veritable empire that includes shoes, apparel, accessories and jewelry, predicted to earn $1 billion by the year's end.
