Jessica Simpson welcomes baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson

Jessica Simpson is finally a proud mama!

After a much talked about pregnancy - which the "Fashion Star" mentor announced on Halloween via a mummy/mommy Twitter photo - Simpson has welcomed a baby girl named Maxwell Drew Johnson with her fiance, former football player Eric Johnson.

"Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson," Simpson, 31, wrote on her website Tuesday. "We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!"

At birth, Maxwell weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces, and was almost 22 inches long.

This is the first child for Simpson - who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey - and Johnson, 32, who started dating two years ago.
