It seems that singer Jewel - she of the frequent "I'm proud I have imperfect teeth" proclamations - went ahead and got those notoriously crooked teeth straightened. Granted it's for a role, but we still feel sorta bad.
The '90s crooner fixed her teeth and dyed her blonde hair brown for her upcoming gig as the late June Carter Cash in Lifetime's biopic "The June Carter Cash Story."
Jewel, 38, tweeted the first photo of her new look earlier this week, writing, "Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth."
It'll be interesting to see how the singer stacks up to Reese Witherspoon, who scored an Oscar in 2005 for her portrayal of Cash in "Walk the Line."
