Talk about strong deodorant.

A Haitian man who was traveling through Kennedy Airport last week is facing federal charges after allegedly trying to smuggle in nearly 16 pounds of cocaine hidden inside deodorants, nail polish bottles, magic markers and hundreds of buttons, officials said Monday.

Tomas Sykora, of Port Au Prince, was arrested last Tuesday on federal narcotics smuggling charges, according to Customs and Border Protection officials.

Customs officers allegedly found more than 7,000 grams of cocaine packed into the 17 deodorant sticks, 24 bottles of nail polish, 16 markers and 684 buttons.

"Once again CBP has demonstrated their steadfastness is stemming the flow of these dangerous drugs," said Robert Perez of the customs department.

It was unclear if Sykora had a lawyer.
