Judge tosses out racial discrimination suit against Paula Deen

A judge dismissed Monday the racial discrimination lawsuit filed against former Food Network star Paula Deen.
The federal judge said the plaintiff, Lisa Jackson, couldn't claim discrimination while she worked at a restaurant owned by the 66-year-old because she is white and "is an accidental victim of the alleged racial discrimination," according to court documents.
Jackson contended Deen's brother Bubba Hiers, who runs the day to day operations at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, used racial slurs and treated black workers unfairly.
Deen admitted in court she used similar slurs.
The suit and allegations cost Deen her contract at the Food Network in June as well as various sponsors.
