Jurors screened in Osama bin Laden son-in-law terror case

Manhattan U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan told prospective jurors in the prosecution of Osama bin Laden son-in-law Suleiman Abu Ghaith Monday that opening statements and testimony are likely to begin Wednesday.
Dozens of jurors who had filled out questionnaires are being screened to determine whether biases relating to terrorism charges or other factors would keep them from serving. All jurors' names are being kept secret.
Abu Ghaith, 48, a former al-Qaida spokesman, is accused of conspiring to kill Americans and providing material support to the terror group. He is not accused of helping the Sept. 11 plot, but is accused of having know-ledge of other plots.
