Kanye West has really been a man of the people as of late.

First, he showed his support for Occupy Wall Street in October (even if he did wear a $355 flannel shirt during his downtown visit), and now word has it the rapper gave the entire staff of SoHo's Mercer Hotel free tickets to his concert with Jay-Z at the Izod Center on Sunday.

The Mercer had previously let West and Jay-Z take over an entire floor of the swanky hotel as the musical duo finished recording their album "Watch the Throne," so West offered up the complimentary tickets this past week "as a way of thanking the staff of the Mercer for their hospitality," a source close to the situation told PerezHilton.com.

"West even went so far as to arrange transportation: a party bus shuttled the staff to and from the show," the source added.

How sweet!
