An 84-year-old upstate New York man is hospitalized after police say he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 100-year-old Hudson Valley woman.

Police in the town of Ulster say Bernard Smith was cross Route 9W around 4 p.m. Friday when he was struck by car driven by Kathryn Schneider of Saugerties.

Police say Smith is recovering from head injuries at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
