It was mom-and-daughter's night out for Katie Holmes and 5-year-old Suri Cruise in New York on Tuesday night.
The twosome painted ceramics at Make Meaning on the Upper East Side, heading to the quiet (but not private) second floor for a little artistic fun.
"She really enjoyed getting her hands dirty with paint," a witness told amNewYork about Suri, who painted a unicorn "with every the color of the rainbow."
The duo wasn't totally alone - they brought a bodyguard, Holmes' mom and Suri's home-school tutor to the studio.
