The Super Bowl was the perfect occasion for Katy Perry to come out of her singing hibernation.
The pop star performed a nine-song set at Saturday night's DirecTV party in Indianapolis - Perry's first U.S. concert since announcing her divorce from hubby Russell Brand in December.
Perry, 27, was clearly in a celebratory mood - making her big entrance onstage by running through a banner with her name on it, People magazine reported.
"Who else is excited for Madonna?" she said about the game's half-time performer. "That's the only reason that I came."
Another person Perry's apparently a fan of? Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, whom she gave a shout-out to before launching into her tune "Peacock."
"This one goes out to Tim Tebow," she said, according to People.
After the show, Perry hung out with pals in a private area: "She was having the best time and was in such a great mood," a source told People.
Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka, Shaquille O'Neal and Christopher Meloni were also in the house.
