Now that you've recovered from the holidays and are re-entering "real-life" mode, it's time to make new choices for the new year.
For me, the new year is always a time that inspires exploring new possibilities and unusual ways of living my life. Harper's Bazaar editor Diana Vreeland's column "Why Don't You?" immediately comes to mind. Vreeland, a true maverick, lived life to the fullest and always focused on details that make life interesting. So, in the spirit of Vreeland, why don't we welcome change, explore new possibilities and take HUGE leaps of faith this year? The only alternative is, why not?
-- Why don't you mix patterns instead of wearing all black?
-- Why don't you darken your roots and let the highlights from your vacation shine through?
-- Why don't you take two SoulCycle classes in a row?
-- Why don't you head to Jill Stuart and buy a sexy white lace dress?
-- Why don't you get red-hot in a pair of Manolo Blahniks, Jimmy Choos or Brian Atwoods?
-- Why don't you scrub off 2012 with Fresh's brown sugar body scrub?
-- Why don't you take one leap of faith, like saying "hi" to a stranger?
-- Why don't you watch the men's fashion shows in Paris on Style.com?
-- Why don't do one thing differently today?
