Kelly Killoren Bensimon - model, fashionista and author of the book "I Can Make You Hot! The Supermodel Diet" - dishes out style advice to amNewYork's readers.

I'm obsessed with Hunter boots. They are durable, chic and come in a variety of colors. I personally love my green boots lined with Hunter's wellie socks, which are made of soft fleece and add an extra layer of warmth.

Instead if going bulky, go light. Start with a slim-cut tee or tank (I like those from Theory and James Perse), topped with a wool sweater and menswear-inspired overcoat. For a fun, feminine twist, add skinny gold jeans.

If you want to stick with black, go for a wool style instead of down - Bird by Juicy Couture makes the chicest black wool coats this season. For uber-warmth, I like down coats from Canada Goose. The brand's Camp Coat is so warm, and also incredibly lightweight, fashion-forward, and comes in cool colors like red and frosty purple. And for the super-trendsetter, I love lined army coats from Opening Ceremony

Monogrammed paper napkins from The Monogram Shop or a fun monogrammed item from C.Wonder are great. I'm also a fan of guest books and stationery. There's nothing more special than thinking ahead. Never regift.
