I love hats — cowboy hats for the beach, fisherman hats when I’m out in the Hamptons, straw hats, mini-fedoras. When I was in Morocco filming part of Season 4 of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” I rarely took off my favorite panama.

A hat is an easy way to accessorize any outfit — even something as simple as a white Hanes T-shirt and a pair of jeans.

The 1920s are emerging as a big trend for fall66, with the classic cloche as its centerpiece (as seen on the runways of Ralph Lauren, Milly and Douglas Hannant). So if you want to jump a season, try a straw cloche. Or, if you can wait until summer fades, shop around and pick one up in a heavier material such as felt.

Not into hat trends? Even a Yankees baseball cap can be the perfect topper.
