Kelly's pick: J.Crew Pearl Cluster Bracelet

“That’s so hot!”

That’s the  first thing I said when I spotted one of  J.Crew’s new bracelets at the SoHo outpost recently.

For me, the vintage-style J.Crew Cluster Pearl Bracelet ($78) is the perfect marriage of hip and classic — I love how the dainty pearls are made less fragile with a chunky chain-link bracelet. This is the kind of jewelry I go crazy for.

And because it’s J.Crew, you know it’s affordable and chic.

“I love the details in vintage jewelry and the natural patina they develop,” said Marissa Webb, head of women’s design at J.Crew.

“They have a feeling of originality that you can’t always find in new pieces. Even if I’m wearing a faded sweatshirt, I layer my gold bracelets and charm necklaces — I feel naked without them,” she added.

Webb — along with Jenna Lyons, the creative director and visionary behind J.Crew — have the right idea, and cool styles of their own that visibly infuse their work.
