Kelsey Grammer jumps on Fox News competitor, RightNetwork

Kelsey Grammer thinks it’s the right time to launch a TV network.
The conservative-minded star of “Frasier” has signed up to be the face of the RightNetwork, which will cater to “a pro-America, pro-business, pro-military” audience.
The network is set to launch this summer online, via on-demand cable and on mobile phones.
But Grammer, now on Broadway in “La Cage aux Folles,” is certainly on board. “Things that just aren’t right: Big government, more taxes, group hugs, cats on leashes,” he says in a Web ad for the network.
Another Web ad flashes images of Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, Grammer himself and others, touting the network with the phrase, “It’s a great big party, and now we have a new place to play.”
The planned programs include “Running,” a reality show focused on conservative political candidates, and “Right 2 Laugh,” comedian voices for “the right values.”
The independently owned RightNetwork doesn’t yet have a secure home on cable. Comcast, named in promotional materials as a partner, told Politico on Monday that it doesn’t have immediate plans to distribute the network.
