Kenneth Cole's Twitter gaffe

Oops.
In a shining example of what not to do on Twitter, iconic design company Kenneth Cole used the chaos in Egypt to hawk their spring collection Thursday morning, potentially losing a few fans (and some respect).
“Millions are in uproar in #Cairo. Rumor is they heard our new spring collection is now available,” the clothing company's tweet read, followed by a link to their latest designs.
Needless to say, the less-than-tasteful tweet provoked outrage from Twitter followers who have been following events in Egypt using the hashtag #Cairo.
Cole's advertisements are known for their dry humor and, often, their attention to social issues, but the tweet missed the mark on both those fronts.
