A federal monitor will oversee changes to the training and policies concerning the NYPD's stop-and-frisk tactic.

The monitor will work alongside the police commissioner and the NYPD inspector general.

Community meetings will solicit feedback from communities where stop-and-frisk has been employed most.

Police officers will be equipped with body-worn cameras under a pilot program.

Once the federal court approves the settlement, the city will move to drop its appeal.

After three years, the federal court will rule whether the city has complied. If so, it will end the monitor's oversight.
