Knicks sign their first-round pick

The Knicks announced the signing of first-round draft pick Tim Hardaway Jr., Monday, as well as the acquisition of undrafted free agent and former N.C. State standout C.J. Leslie.
Hardaway Jr.’s contract is for a reported $6 million over four years, with team options after the third and fourth seasons. Leslie, who fell from a projected first-round selection to out of the draft, received a small portion of guaranteed money, according to multiple reports.
Leslie left the Wolfpack after last season amid reports of bad blood between him and the program. As a junior, he averaged 15.1 ppg and 7.4 rpg.
Both players are on the Knicks’ Summer League team, which will begin practice tonight in Las Vegas. The first game will be Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
