Knicks win shootout at Detroit 125-116 in second overtime

That loss Saturday turned out to be just a post-Thanksgiving hiccup for the Knicks. With a 125-116 double-overtime victory over the Pistons Sunday afternoon, Mike D’Antoni’s young Knicks (9-9) have won six of their last seven games.

Credit Amare Stoudemire for that. The 6-foot-10 forward ran in the Knicks’ uptempo style for a career-high 54 minutes in Detroit, pouring in 37 points along with 15 rebounds and seven assists.

Stoudemire's ninth defensive rebound 21 seconds into the second overtime led to Danilo Gallinari’s 3-pointer, putting the Knicks up 112-109. Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Landry Fields created a 12-2 run on four treys as the Knicks ran away with the game.

Ray Felton had 23 points and 11 assists, while Chandler and Gallinari had 20 points each. Landry chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds.
