Kristin Davis suing Post writer for calling her a 'hooker'
Gubernatorial candidate and ex-madam Kristin Davis is suing a New York Post writer for calling her a “hooker” in a column about Monday’s debate.
Davis spent about four months in jail after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution, and she’s suing John Podhoretz for libel, saying there is “no evidence” she was a hooker.
“She has paid her debt to society,” her attorney Ron Castorina said. “Ms. Davis has a clean slate and is entitled to a second chance.”
A spokesman for Davis said there isn’t a dollar amount attached the lawsuit yet.
Davis was the Madam in former Gov. Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal and has admitted to supplying him with escorts.
Podhoretz didn’t return a request for comment.
