Lack of cooperation kills Hillary Clinton documentary
The director of an eagerly awaited CNN Films documentary about Hillary Clinton has scotched the project because neither the Secretary of State nor anyone close to her would cooperate with him, he said.
"Nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film," director Charles Ferguson wrote in Huffpo yesterday, citing pressure from former Clinton assistant Philippe Reines and others close to former president and first lady Bill and Hillary Clinton.
"Not Democrats, not Republicans - and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration," he added.
Ferguson directed the Oscar nominated 2007 film, "No End in Sight: Iraq's Descent Into Chaos" and "Inside Job," which won the 2010 Academy Award for best documentary feature. Requests for comment placed to the offices of Hillary Clinton and Reines were not returned.
