Latest death brings Hurricane Sandy toll to 43

The police reported Sunday another hurricane related fatality in Queens.

Albert McSwain, 77, became the 43rd person killed by the storm when he succumbed to his injuries Saturday night at Jamaica Hospital. Family members found McSwain, a retired NYPD custodian, at the bottom of the steps of his Rockaway apartment building with head trauma on Oct. 31.

Police say the fall paralyzed him from the neck down.
