Leonardo DiCaprio celebrates birthday with star-studded party
Leonardo DiCaprio celebrated his 39th birthday in a big -- make that very big -- way.
The Hollywood heavy hitter threw a star-studded bash at TAO Downtown on Sunday night that included a post- dinner concert from rapper Kanye West and an appearance from West's fiance, Kim Kardashian.
"Kanye West and 2 Chainz took the stage and performed a full concert," a partygoer told us.
Besides West and Kardashian, the guest list included 100 of DiCaprio's family members and A-list friends, including Martin Scorsese, who has directed DiCaprio in a number of films, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Orlando Bloom, Tobey Maguire and Benicio Del Toro.
"The party was going all through the night," said the witness at the Meatpacking District hot spot. "Leo was beyond thrilled when the lights were turned on at 4 a.m. and the entire room was still packed."
But the evening wasn't only about DiCaprio: The philanthropic-minded "Wolf of Wall Street" star raised $3 million for the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, his organization dedicated to creating harmony between humanity and the natural world, by auctioning off rare and vintage champagnes, including 1921 Moët & Chandon and large-format bottles of Armand de Brignac.
