GOP mayoral candidate Joe Lhota lent a helping hand Sunday to a fellow Republican who is also aiming for a seat at City Hall.

The former MTA chief endorsed David Storobin in his run for the 27th City Council district in Brighton Beach, and the former state senator returned the favor by throwing his weight behind Lhota's campaign.

"We share a vision for strengthening the economy and quality of life for the people of Brooklyn," Lhota said in a statement.
