A Farmingdale man was arrested Wednesday at the U.S. Open after he jumped onto the court to take a photograph with tennis player Kateryna Bondarenko, police said.

Bondarenko was gathering her equipment and preparing to leave the court at about 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, when Sam Hu, 47, of Farmingdale, lept over a fence separating spectator seating and the tennis courts, an NYPD spokesman said

In footage posted online by ESPN, Hu can be seen rushing up to Bondarenko and putting his arm around her. Both of them then turn to a person in the stands, who snaps a photo before security personnel escort Hu away.

Hu was turned over to NYPD officers and charged with 3rd degree criminal trespass and a misdemeanor violation of local law, the spokesman said.

According to court records, Hu was released on his own recognizance on Sept. 1. Neither Hu nor his attorney at Queens Legal Associates could be reached for comment on Friday evening.

Hu is due back in court on Nov. 2, according to court records.
