LIRR service has been restored in both directions between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica, the railroad said early Tuesday afternoon.

A disabled train had caused service to be suspended Tuesday morning between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica, the Long Island Rail Road said.

Service was restored in both directions, the LIRR said in an alert at about 12:15 p.m. The railroad tweeted at about 1:45 p.m. that service was on or close to schedule.

“NYC Transit continues to cross-honor LIRR tickets via the 2/3 subway in both directions between Penn & Atlantic Terminal,” the railroad said in a statement.
