A Long Island Rail Road train fatally struck a man on the tracks in Queens early Sunday morning, the LIRR said.

The westbound Port Washington line train hit the man, who has not yet been identified, just east of the Woodside station about 5 a.m., said LIRR spokesman Aaron Donovan.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two trains were canceled and three delayed on the Port Washington branch as a result of the crash.

The MTA police are investigating why the man was on the tracks, Donovan said.
