The best view to see the annual Macy's Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza will once again be along the West Side or New Jersey.

Macy's said Monday the show will not leave the Hudson River, where it's been since 2009, even though East Side pols have pushed for the retailer to switch rivers.

Barges for the show will be positioned between 18th and 48th streets.

But that doesn't mean the event couldn't return to the East River another year.

"Exclusively limiting the show to any particular area would greatly hinder the creative freedom that has made it the nation's best and largest Independence Day display," Macy's spokesman Orlando Veras said in a statement.

East Side officials held a news conference earlier Monday to put pressure on Macy's and prod them to move the show.
