Cops arrested a Bronx man early Thursday morning after he allegedly tried to steal a Citi Bike in midtown.
Anthony Jones was awaiting arraignment on several charges in Manhattan Criminal Court for the 1 a.m. incident that took place near 40th Street and 9th Avenue, a source close the investigation said.
Police say he tried to ride away with one of the bikes that wasn't properly locked in the stand, but was apprehended by officers who were nearby.
Another bike was stolen last Sunday from its delivery truck, however, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said it was recovered a day later.
