Police arrested a Brooklyn man Thursday for allegedly luring two girls into a laundry room and sexually abusing them earlier this week.

Prosecutors arraigned Mario Lopez, 52, of Bushwick on several charges including burglary, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child for the Nov. 12 incident that took place in a Jackson Heights apartment building.

Lopez allegedly entered the building and lured the victims, who are 9 and 4 years-old and are unrelated, to the laundry room where he abused them. Before fleeing he offered the older victim candy, the district attorney's office said.

One of the girls told her parents who then calledthe police.

Lopez faces 15 years in prison if convicted on his charges.
