Man killed in hit and run in Queens: Police

A Queens man was killed in a hit-and-run early Mondaymorning when he was struck in Jackson Heights, police said.

Manuel Campoverde, 25, was hit near 34th Avenue and Junction Boulevard around 1:50 a.m. by a black four-door sedan driven by a man, according to the NYPD. The driver of the car fled, and police are looking for him, cops said.

EMS responded to the scene and took Campoverde to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA.
